If you want private Spanish lessons, well these can be very expensive, depending on how many hours a week you want. Lessons can range anywhere from twenty to seventy dollars an hour or more depending on where you live. If you want to buy a Spanish learning program, there are many options to choose from thanks to the internet. Again, price is a factor, as well as the method of learning that you prefer. There are some older methods which just use books and tapes, but sometimes they can be so boring that you would rather watch water boil or paint dry. Other options are either more visually or audio oriented.
A good example of a visually oriented program is Rosetta Stone. It can get expensive though depending on which version you decide to work with, but it is effective and again to repeat the main theme, it is fun. If you are better at learning by listening, Rocket Spanish may be the ticket for you. This program is much cheaper than the other one. You have the option to work on their web site, or to download their more than thirty-one audio tracks to either your computer or even your Ipod.
Everything is interactive and you can learn enough Spanish to be dangerous when on vacation. It will get you to a point where you can get around in public and restaurants, as the program uses native Spanish speakers using vocabulary from real life situations and not wasting your time learning useless stuff. Did I mention it is also inexpensive? I think I did.
So go out and learn Spanish quickly while having lots of fun. It is probably some of the best multi-tasking you can do.
